Making ultra light tent poles for a Wenzel Star Lite backpacking tent - revised Tube. Duration : 9.27 Mins.
This video explains how I made ultra light carbon tent poles for my little .00 Wenzel backpacking tent. The arrows I used in this video are Beman Venture 500s, which as shown fit inside the 2117 sleeves very nicely. If you are searching for aluminum arrows to use, here is some information. The first 2 numbers on aluminum arrows is the outside diameter in 1/64ths of an inch and the second two numbers is the wall thickness in thousandths of an inch. That means the 2117 aluminum arrows I used are 21/64 ths of an inch outside diameter with a wall thickness of .017 There are lots of combinations that would work. For instance, the Carbon Express Wolverine arrow has a fractionally larger diameter. This arrow does not fit inside a 2117 sleeve but it probably would fit inside a sleeve made from 2215 or 2216 aluminum arrows. I do know that the Carbon Wolverine will not fit inside a 2114 and a 2312 is a little too big making a slightly loose fit. Some sporting goods/supply stores sell used/traded arrows. Check if they have some cheap ones you can purchase. Also, try your local archery club to see if they might have a junk arrow bucket.

As I sit here, I ask myself, do I write an record or a list? Do I list the names or just write an in-depth story about camping foods? Or can I make my list into an article. I will do both and all, so here we go. I have been camping many times over the past few years. And though I do not reconsider myself a camping expert, I do feel that I have some great helpful hints for campers in the areas of food, hiking, putting up tents, choosing and purchasing tents and other ideas. So, I will write a series of articles about camping, camping helpful hints, and other associated items associated to camping, backpacking, hiking, and campfires, and the rest. This record that I write here at this moment is totally dedicated to foods. However, the record is geared to foods that you can take camping when you do not want to start fires, make campfires, or lug any cooking equipment. Yes, you can camp out without the fire and without the charcoal and without finding firewood. That does make camping easier for everyone and it lightens your pack. There is your list. You can pack any and all of that and avoid cooking and avoid needing ice or refrigeration. Now for the rice. purchase limited rice. You can soak limited rice in water out in the sun and have nice hot rice for your meal. It works, try it. Put the rice in a plastic clear package with some warm water. Leave it out in the sun, and you will have hot cooked rice. You can even just put it in water and you do not even need the sun , as long as it is limited rice.

**I didn't end up doing a review on it in the morning because I wanted to pack up quickly, but this tent held up GREAT through the night! No condensation formed on the inside, and it kept me nice and warm! I highly recommend this tent!** A quick review of the Wenzel Lone Elk hiking tent. This tent is roomy enough for one person with gear and proved to be very cozy. This tent does a great job of keeping the elements off you while you sleep. This video was taken on a night that was about mid to low 60's (and in Florida, that is pretty chilly!)

I ordered a Wenzel Current Hiker two person Tent from Amazon.com in November for 29.23 and free shipping. The Sleep capacity is 1 to 2 person, center height is 36 inches, footprint is 48 to 37 inches wide by 82 inches ong, Dutch "D" style door, rear vent, sonic sealed, welded 1000-millimeter polyester taffeta floor, lightweight fiberglass fram, weather armor fabrics, it came with tent and fly, stakes, storage duffel. It says the weight is 3.4 pounds, however, I did not weigh it so it may weigh less... I also ordered a Suisse Sport Adult Adventurer Mummy Ultra Compactable Sleeping bag too for 32.75 and free shipping and the weight on it is 3.2 pounds, I will do more reviews on this gear as I use it.
